ecrabb's "Prairie Home Cinema" HT

Basic Room Configuration & Equipment

The room took approximately five months to mostly complete, working almost only on weekends, and definitely not all weekends.

I'm not sure the room would ever been usable without the help from my most excellent friend, Chad (IgnoringMyWife). I'm eternally grateful for his help, perseverance, and support. I'll owe him for all his hard work for a very long time.

A few details like the rack finishing, trim, screen border, and screen lighting were completed over a couple of weekends much later. A word to the wise: Unless you are extremely disciplined, DO NOT hang your projector until the room is as complete as you want it to be for some time. Otherwise, you'll need to schedule a home theater meet to "light the fire" so to speak. It worked for me!

System plays clean to near-reference levels, and is pretty flat to below 20 hz, with good usable output well below. It's not what I'd consider "high performance" compared to what a lot of guys are doing these days, but it's pretty damn good for the amount of money I've spent.
